Metal Polishing or finishing is the process of removing scratches and abrasions from the surface. This process creates the desired brightness or finish. It follows much the same principle as sanding wood, stepping back on abrasive grit throughout the procedures. A combination of polishing buffing wheels and compounds are used along with a buffing machine to create a pristine finish.
Polishing soaps or compound bars offer a variety of abrasive densities, choosing the most applicable buffing compound depends on the material, surface and level of buffing required.
Liquid Polishing Soaps
Liquid polishing compounds are also available in various abrasive densities, and choosing the right compound at each stage of the polishing process will result in the perfect finish.
A Sisal wheel is made up of tough, hard, cellular strand of fibre, its natural abrading and grease absorbing characteristics make it ideal resilient buffing wheel. They provide both polishing and cutting action, removing stretcher strains, orange peel, polishing wheel grit lines and light die marks.

Drawing is a fairly common method of shaping or pressing metal parts around a die or punch. The pressure or force required in this process can cause imperfections and even weld the finished product to the die, drawing lubricants prevents this from occurring and eliminates metal to metal adhesion by providing a cushion or lubricated layer between the die and workpiece.
